Salem, NH Window Tinting for Heat, Glare and Privacy
Carbon and Ceramic IR window film for Salem drivers, fitted indoors by our tint installer in Hooksett
Between Route 28 traffic and the I-93 commute, Salem drivers spend a lot of time sitting in the sun. In July, that means a hot cabin and an AC that never catches up. In February, it means low sun bouncing off snow and wet pavement straight into your eyes. Quality window tint helps with both: it cuts glare, blocks UV that fades seats and dashboards, rejects heat, and keeps valuables out of sight in parking lots.
IMS Detailing is located at 78 Londonderry Turnpike, Unit G3, Hooksett. We don’t have a Salem shop and we don’t do mobile tint. Salem customers drive up to us, and every window is tinted indoors, where dust and drafts can’t end up under the film.
Getting to Our Shop from Salem
Just take I-93 north. Hooksett is up past Londonderry and Manchester on the same highway, so there are no back roads to figure out. Book a drop-off time with Jessa and we’ll let you know when to expect the car back.
Why It’s Worth the Drive
- Hunter tints every day. Our tint installer focuses on film, which shows in the edges and the rear glass.
- A clean indoor bay. Most tint flaws come from dust and debris. A controlled shop keeps them out.
- Honest film choices. We’ll tell you whether Carbon is enough for how you drive, or whether Ceramic IR is worth the step up.
- A trusted local shop. IMS Detailing has served southern New Hampshire since 2014.
What’s Included in a Tint Job
We prep and deep-clean each window, cut the film to your car’s glass, heat-shrink the rear window film so it lies flat on the curve, and finish the edges tight. Before you leave, we go over cure time and care: windows up for a few days, no ammonia cleaners, and a little haze early on is normal while the film dries.
Not sure how dark is allowed? New Hampshire limits tint on certain windows. Read our NH window tint law guide and we’ll confirm a legal shade with you at drop-off. Our complete guide to car window tint in NH covers the rest.
Window Tint Pricing (Starting At)
- 2 front windows: starting at $160 Carbon / $200 Ceramic IR
- 4 side windows plus rear: starting at $399 Carbon / $599 Ceramic IR
Windshield strips, full windshields and specialty vehicles are quoted separately. Carbon film is a solid, glare-cutting choice; Ceramic IR is the one to pick if summer cabin heat is what bugs you most.
Every window tint install comes with a lifetime warranty. Jessa can go over the warranty details for the film on your vehicle.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there an IMS Detailing location in Salem?
No. Our only shop is in Hooksett, a straight drive north on I-93 from Salem. Every tint job is installed indoors there.
What does window tint cost for a full car?
Four windows plus the rear glass starts at $399 with Carbon film and $599 with Ceramic IR. Final pricing depends on the vehicle.
Is Ceramic IR worth it?
If you park in the sun or spend a lot of summer time in traffic, yes. It rejects much more heat than Carbon. If glare and privacy are your main goals, Carbon does the job.
Will tint mess with my phone or GPS?
Our Carbon and Ceramic IR films are non-metallic, so they won’t interfere with phone, GPS or radio signals.
Can you tint just the front two windows?
Yes. If your rear windows are factory-tinted, matching the front two starts at $160 Carbon or $200 Ceramic IR.
